The Doctor is a telepathic being. He uses his telepathic abilities by placing his hands over a certain area and feeling the vibes (telepathic energy)
He does not enter minds, just because and he always asks. But he can mind walk inside another's mind. He can also touch someone's torso and feel the shape the organs are in. Usually, The Doctor keeps his telepathic to himself, and uses it to deflect, other telepaths.
The Sonic Screwdriver; is a device of The Time Lord that come with many abilities but it doesn't work on wood.
The new thing about this sonic is that it can create solid see-though walls that can resist rapid bullets. @ 1:26
